Introduction to Performing Arts is a class offered at PHN for students interested in learning more about the performing arts. In class we will focus on just a few aspects of the performing arts. Projects include dramatic scenes (large group, small group, monologues) and a showcase at the end of the semester. The showcase is typically a one act play produced, directed, and acted by the class. There is also a focus on the performing arts through history and they way that they have shaped society. Students will give presentations on important figures that are briefly covered in a previous unit for their final exam.
